Eric A. Cotugno, PsyD is a Pennsylvania Licensed Psychologist and graduate of Penn State University (BA – Psychology) and Argosy University/Washington, DC (MA, PsyD – Clinical Psychology). Dr. Cotugno is credentialed by PsyPact to provide interjurisdictional telepsychology (e.g. virtual therapy) to residents of PsyPact  participating states.  He is also a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. He has previously been a member of the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Cotugno has 15 years experience working with diverse patents from various socioeconomic backgrounds in diagnosing, evaluating, and treating mental health conditions in outpatient mental health settings. Dr. Cotugno is skilled in clinical interviewing and conducting practically-focused integrative psychotherapy incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and systems theory. Additionally, he has has a strong background in conducting psychological evaluations to facilitate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Dr. Cotugno’s clinical work has focused on providing individual therapy (often with adjunctive family support sessions) for patients experiencing anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression and mood disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning differences, and problematic gaming and technology use (social media, AI). 

In his clinical work, Dr. Cotugno has also supported patients dealing with grief and loss, chronic pain, and lifestyle issues commonly associated with mental health difficulties (e.g. stress management, sleep problems). Dr. Cotugno maintains a professional interest in safe and ethical integration of AI into mental health care and is a co-founder of the AI-Informed Psychologists special interest group within the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. Dr. Cotugno also serves as a subject matter expert for an AI research group at Carnegie Mellon University.
